FAQs

When are the Mara River crossings?
Generally July to October, when the migration reaches the northern Serengeti. The herds move with the rain and the grazing, so the crossings cannot be timed.
Why fly in?
The flight replaces the longest drive of the trip, so the time goes on game drives and the lodges instead of the road.
Will we see the Big Five?
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best places in Africa to try, black rhino included.
Is this a private safari?
Yes. The vehicle, the guide and the itinerary are yours alone — you share the day with nobody outside your own party.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. More Serengeti nights, Zanzibar at the end, different lodges or a balloon flight — tell us and we will redraft it.
